I’m

Simon Aldrich,

and I’m proud to lead ROOT Therapy Clinic, a fully insured, registered, and accredited practice. With years of experience supporting clients, I bring a deep commitment to helping people overcome challenges and unlock their potential. I trained as a clinical hypnotherapist at CPHT, York University, and have continued to build on my expertise with certifications as a master NLP practitioner and in EMDR therapy.

I also contribute to the future of therapy by helping train students at the Solution Focused Training Academy, one of the UK’s largest and most highly regarded institutions, with 11 schools across the country. Before founding ROOT Therapy Clinic, I spent over 30 years running a successful business. Interacting with both staff and clients, I became increasingly fascinated by the human mind. Why do some people stay calm under pressure while others turn to substances to cope? How can some individuals move forward from challenges effortlessly while others feel overwhelmed by stress and anxiety? These questions sparked my passion for understanding the mind, which eventually led me to pursue this meaningful work. I’m honoured to be a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapists and a Fellow of the ACCPH, one of the highest recognitions in the field of hypnotherapy.

ROOT, the therapeutic approach I developed, is now used in clinical practices across the UK and beyond. It is a recognized and accredited therapy, and I’m incredibly proud of its positive impact on so many lives. My journey has also been shaped by personal experience. Serving with the British Army in the first Gulf War in 1991, I witnessed the emotional devastation trauma can bring to individuals and families. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to helping ex-servicemen and women work through their trauma. I’ve also supported countless individuals in navigating the powerful and complex emotions of grief, offering sensitivity and respect in every interaction.

I truly believe I have the best job in the world. Helping people become the best versions of themselves brings me immense satisfaction. Seeing the speed and depth of positive change in my clients’ lives is both humbling and deeply rewarding.
